Alano is a superlative young Andalusian stallion who embodies all the desirable characteristics of the classic Spanish horse - Movement, Conformation, Temperament, and Pedigree. He has exceptional presence and powerful movement, exhibiting both natural collection and breathtaking extension. Alano is extremely athletic, possessing extraordinary agility, balance, and fluid uphill transitions.

In all aspects of his training and handling Alano has been focused and extremely willing to learn. He is sensitive to his handler, intelligent, and calm despite distractions. Alano is currently starting his training under saddle for his future in dressage. He is already showing an early and inborn talent for some advanced dressage movements including piaffe, passage, and canter pirouettes.

Alano has exceptional bloodlines combining parents bred for competitive dressage movement, classic Andalusian conformation and type, size and temperament. His sire Barbian is a striking 16.3 hh P.R.E. stallion. Barbian was on the Spanish Olympic Dressage Training Team with Juan Antonio Jemez when he was imported to the United States. He has had an extremely successful competitive career in both open dressage and Andalusian breed shows.

	Alano's dam Regidora is by the extraordinary 16.3 hh stallion Regalado II, who was the first colt by the renowned Spanish Military stallion Leviton to be imported to the United States from Spain. Regalado was chosen specifically for his dressage potential, physical ability, and exceptional work ethic, traits which he has passed on to his descendants. Regalado was shown in open dressage competition with tremendous success by the professional rider Willy Arts. While in training for his F.E.I. career, Regalado tragically passed away at the age of 10, making his offspring all the more valuable.
